Under the leadership of Patrick Keyaerts, we offer project management to industrial companies wishing to build, expand or improve industrial installations including manufacturies, waste management installations, chemical plants and pipelines. Patrick is an Industrial Engineer with Safety qualifications specialised in Project Management and with solid experience both in Belgium and abroad.
Why Choose Us?In all our activities, we take a hands on approach that is focused on deliverables. We pride ourselves on meeting deadlines and expectations, and on ensuring that each dossier is handled by our Managing Director. This has led us to offer our services to major companies, both in Belgium and abroad (South Africa and Botswana).
Project Management of a Start-up in AfricaStarting up new plants is a challenge in itself. Doing it in Botswana, Africa, and for a prototype factory that had never been installed anywhere else in the world previously makes it even more interesting. KDC was able to successfully launch on schedule an air distillation plant supplying oxygen to the mines of BCL, Botswana. The building blocks ofthis success were the relentless availability of Patrick Keyaerts on the site during the necessary eight months from the drawing board to the start up, and a good coordination of local and European installation and start-up teams.
Crisis Management of an Environmental Incident in EuropeA simple negligence leading to the leaking of hazardous components from a truck transporting engines to be recycled, can have serious consequences and therefore requires a quick and practical approach. KDC set in place the needed contacts to ensure all the environmental requirements were being met, whilst liaising with local authorities, cleaning up teams and the various departments that needed to be involved inside the company. Once more a project were our flexibility and 24/7 availability was appreciated!
Plant Management with an Eye for Efficiency and Security in BeneluxKDC’s result-oriented approach is also of value when an existing plant needs to be re-organised at commercial, technical and management levels in order to optimise its potential. Patrick Keyaerts was charged with such a mission regarding a company recycling transformers contaminated with PCBs. The outcome was: (1) An increased turnover by 30% during the first six months and 50% thereafter, 60% reduction of the number of accidents at work and 30% increase in productivity, as well as (2) IS0 14000 and OHAS 18000 certifications….and a satisfied client!
